Lisboa Real Ops 2021 is the 13th edition of what is the biggest annual Event in Portuguese Airspace.
It's the coming together of some of VATSIM's finest pilots and controllers with an amazing scenery in the background. Lisboa Airport is known for its beautiful approach over the heart of Portugal's Capital.
On Saturday September 25th, pilots from all over the world are invited to choose from one of the 169 flights on offer, connecting Lisboa to 67 airports spread across 5 continents.
Book your slot now! Together with the flight number, you will get an updated and valid route to ensure your experience is as smooth as possible
To the pilots with DCL capable aircraft, Lisboa has introduced Clearance via Data Link earlier this year, so you may request your IFR clearance either through voice with Delivery, or via DCL with logon LPPT.
Please note that if you book a flight but cannot attend, you must send an e-mail to email@example.com cancelling your reservation so that others can take the slot instead.

|1. What should I do before connecting to the network?
Make sure you are familiarized with the relevant procedures and phraseology so that you, and the others, can take the best out of this event!
|2. What should I do after connecting to the network?
After being connected, make sure that your aircraft isn't connected on top of a previously connected aircraft. If you are, please move to a free stand. Do all your preflight, listen to the ATIS and when you are ready, go for your clearance.
|3. What should I report on first contact?
On your first contact (make sure you have listened to the ATIS first) report: your callsign, your stand (gate), the latest ATIS information (letter). (Example: Air Portugal 123, stand 122, information CHARLIE, request ATC clearance to Porto).
|4. Any tips on first contact?
Listen for at least 10 seconds before transmitting when you first tune to a frequency. Do not use text to get a controller's attention - that will only delay operations. Do not interrupt a transmission. Expect delays. And remember to HAVE FUN!
|5. Should I have crash detection enabled?
No. Do not use crash detection as it is likely that due to high traffic levels Flight Simulator will detect a crash and reset your aircraft's position. If this happens we cannot guarantee that your slot will still be available.
|6. What happened to RWY35?
For two years now, RWY35 has been renamed taxiway T. Together with it, some other taxiways have been renamed. Check the TEMPO charts! (Charts 10-8s).
|7. Should I take extra fuel?
Yes. While trying to minimize delays at maximum, we cannot guarantee you that your flight will not be subject to it, hey, it happens in real life too! However, do not expect it to be over 45 minutes.
|8.Do you welcome non-booked flights?
Yes...we welcome all flights, whether or not booked!
